How it meets the countertop
The mount type decides what we cut, and what you see every day.
This one drops in from above — its rim rests on the countertop and covers the cut edge. That makes the opening simpler to fabricate, because the cut edge never shows, and it is the more forgiving choice on a countertop that is not stone. The trade is the rim: it is a raised edge you clean around rather than wipe across.
